For many sneakerheads, Supreme’s Nike Dunk High collaboration from 2003 is a grail. The trio of Dunks followed on from a successful debut in 2002, this time opting for a high top version. Over the last 17 years, the story, status and sale prices of the Supreme Dunk have only gone one way: up. With rumours circulating that a Supreme x Air Jordan 1 inspired by the same design is set to release next year, now there’s more news. According to multiple sources, four Nike SB Dunk Lows will use Supreme’s classic design.
Although there are no official images just yet, the wheels of the hype machine have already started turning. Various sneaker outlets have reported that four Nike SB Dunks will release using the same star covered panelling as Supreme’s iteration. The colourways listed so far are Hyper Blue, Mean Green, Black, and Barkroot Brown. Of course, these are a million miles away from the Red, UNC and Orange used by Supreme, but it’s exciting nonetheless.
As for now, all we have to go on is the colourway names. If this rumour is true, however, you can expect faux croc leather and gold star detailing. All we have to do now is wait and see whether this rumour is true or false. Check out the OG Supreme x Nike Dunk Highs below and let us know if you’ll cop these Dunks.
