It’s no secret that Drake is a staunch member of Team Nike. The OVO head honcho has been a huge part of Nike and Jordan Brand for a number of years now, releasing a number of Air Jordans in that time. For the “Laugh Now Cry Later” video, Drizzy visited the Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. Sneakerheads were quick to notice that the video featured a number of exclusives, including two unreleased Maybach’s and, of course, Drake’s next Nike collaboration.
Although the sneaker has been rumoured since August, there’s been little to no information that has supported a release date. Thankfully, Drake changed all that this weekend. In the briefest of teaser videos, Drake posted the date “12.18.2020” sitting underneath a Nike Swoosh. The clip features a close-up shot of Toronto, Drake’s home town, before closing off with the release date. All we can do now is sit and pray for the drop to come true.
As it stands, there’s no more leaked images of Drake’s Nike collaboration. The grainy images of the Drizzy sneaker from a few months ago are all that we have to go on, but it’s still exciting nonetheless. Check out the video and first images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Drake Nike’s.
