It looks as though Nike SB plan on starting 2021 as they mean to go on: hard. The skateboarding division of Nike has already teased a number of upcoming collaborations, colourways and more for this year. However, for its first release of the year, Nike SB is giving us the Dunk Low “Street Hawker”; a mismatch collaboration that we can’t get our heads around. Once you read into the story though, you’ll understand how clever this sneaker design really is.
Made in collaboration with Guangzhou artist Jason Deng, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker” is made for the streets. Inspired by Chinese cuisine, the sneaker boasts two different uppers entirely. One shoe is representative of around half a dozen Chinese dishes, whilst the other depicts elements of Eastern culinary culture. Everything from textured uppers, to copper coins and characters on the heel help to create the story behind this Dunk. Crisp white soles cut through all the colour, bringing this bold pair of SB Dunks to a close.
If you do like the look of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker” then good luck. As for now, the pair is rumoured to drop in limited numbers at exclusive stockists for €110. Keep your eyes peeled this week as more info about this SB Dunk release becomes available. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these SBs.
