Since debuting in back in December, reviews about the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React has been mixed, to say the least. Whilst some feel that the shoe seamlessly blends the React design with Air Max technology, others have been less than enthusiastic, claiming that the design is boring. Whatever your opinion, we all know that once these Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React’s drop, the whole sneaker world will be trying to cop a pair.
For Travis Scott’s first take on an Air Max model, the Houston born rapper is tackling the divisive 270 react silhouette, which is set to drop in Spring. Whilst this may be an unexpected first choice, it’s safe to say that the BUTTERFLY EFFECT rapper has certainly put his signature touches throughout, starting with the patchwork style upper.
A combination of Light Cream, Starfish and Dark Hazel, the TS x Air Max 270 React sports an earth-toned upper in a mixture of materials. Plush suedes, breathable mesh and what appears to be a fleece style rear panel on the heel make this shoe a standout in the short history of the Air Max 270 React. Touches of teal, as well as a gold midsole and Air Unit, help to draw attraction to the sneaker, though that is hardly needed considering the crazy upper.
Whilst information is scarce about the release, early reports suggest that the sneaker will release in March 2020 for £150/€190.
