Nike is no stranger to holiday focused sneakers. Over the last 20 years, the Swoosh has upped its “Valentine’s Day” releases, making it very hard to compete. We’ve seen everything from Air Max 95s to SB Dunks over the last few years and it doesn’t look to be going away any time soon. Despite 2020 providing a number of issues with sneakers, it looks like Nike’s 2021 Valentine’s Day is set to release soon. In fact, we now have a closer look at this year’s Nike Air Force 1 “Valentine’s Day”.
Taking Bruce Kilgore’s classic design, Nike has gone for a rather fitting colour scheme. White leather is accented with pink suede overlays and a racing red Swoosh across the midsection. A clean white midsole is finished off with a soft pink sole unit. Although this Air Force 1 is certainly eye-catching to start with, it’s the subtle details that really make it.
Heart-shaped perforations on the toe box are undoubtedly one of our favourite features on this AF1. On the heel tab, the “AIR” has been finished with an embroidered heart on the top of the “I” for good measure. The folding tongue tag also reveals a hidden message: “True Love Since ’82”. Housed in a custom box, these are must cop for us.
Thankfully the Nike Air Force 1 “Valentine’s Day” is set to drop at some point in February. We hope to see these before the 14th but keep it posted to KLEKTIVE for more information. Check out the official imagery below and let us know if you’ll cop these AF1s.
