Since first being leaked late last year, the Air Jordan 1 “Patina” has been something of a divisive sneaker. Whilst it may not be for everyone, it has certainly got the sneaker community talking. Over the past few months, we’ve been waiting to see more of this upcoming Air Jordan 1. Thankfully, our prayers have now been answered. Nike has released official imagery of the “Patina” Jordan 1, giving you a chance to decide if you’ll cop.
The AJ1 “Patina” is certainly based on creating a sense of luxury. A black leather base is accented with deep bronze overlays creating a nice premium look. Matte leather on the midsection also works nicely with the “Shadow” inspired ankle and collar. Interestingly, there is a distinct absence of the usual “Nike Air” logo on the tongue. An embroidered turquoise patch instead offers a replacement, though it’s something many OG AJ1 fans aren’t too happy about. Finally, a white midsole and black sole bring things to a close, rounding off this mismatch Air Jordan nicely.
If you like the look of the Air Jordan 1 “Patina” then sit tight. As it stands, this Jordan 1 should drop on March 10th for €170. With this most likely being a limited release, these should be hitting select retailers soon. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll cop these AJ1s.
