Angelo Baque’s Awake NY is one of the most exciting labels in streetwear. The former Supreme Brand Director launched Awake NY in 2012 and has since seen it become one of the hottest names in the industry. From collaborations with Moncler to sneaker collabs with ASICS, Awake NY is going from strength to strength. Following on from a collaboration together last year, we now have a closer look at the next Awake NY x Reebok Club C.
Taking the iconic Reebok sneaker, Awake NY has opted for a luxurious update with great results. A “Sandtrap” leather base is contrasted by faux snakeskin overlays, creating a nice balance between casual and premium. Blue accents can be seen on the “Reebok” logo across the midsection and co-branded tongue tag, as well as the bold “AWAKE” across the heel. A set of blue laces come as an added bonus, but we think that the “Sandtrap” fits perfectly. A towel like sockliner can also be seen, bridging the gap between style and comfort on this Reebok sneaker.
