It appears as though the hype surrounding the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is not going away just yet. With eight confirmed releases of the popular Yeezy silhouette lined up for 2019 alone, the shoe is fast becoming a regular release. Thanks to the world of sneaker leaks, we now have a closer on-foot look at one of these new colourways: Desert Sage.
Yeezus certainly seems to be favouring the earthy palette as of late, with the Desert Sage colourway being no different. A slightly green Primeknit upper is accented well through the use of a grey reflective stripe; the first time a reflective stripe has been used on a Yeezy 350 V2. The same green has also been applied to the laces, making for a natural-looking sneaker with a few twists. A bright orange sock liner helps draw the eye well, before moving down to the midsole unit.
The familiar use of a ribbed midsole can be seen here, only this midsole also has a few unique details. A semi-translucent layer has been applied, with the heel section featuring a gum colour. This same gum can be found on the sole, with the traditional Boost material being exposed underneath.
Rumour has it that this particular sneaker is a homage to one of the fashion world’s most iconic pieces; the bomber jacket. It is hard to ignore the similarities, given that the colour scheme is strikingly similar. There is no exact release date yet but early reports suggest that the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Desert Sage” will release later this Spring.
