Turning 30 is a big deal, even if you’re a sneaker. Thankfully, one of the greatest sneakers of all time is about to experience that; the Nike Air Max 90. Designed by the great Tinker Hatfield, the Air Max III as it was originally known, has become an icon. Over the past three decades, the Air Max 90 has become a shoe that any sneakerhead has to own. Even after thousands of colourways and collaborations, Nike is still creating fantastic colourways, with this latest version being one of them.
Taking the same classic shape as the original Air Max 90, the “Chlorophyll” version is a simple but sleek colourway. Originally used on the Nike Air Trainer, the familiar combination of white, black and green makes for subtle repatriation on this shoe.
A white mesh base takes pride of place on this shoe, accented through the use of white leather panels on the side and mudguard. White laces, as well as a white tongue, help to create a perfect base for the black and green accents to work against. The use of a green sock liner, as well as a green Nike logo on the tongue, adds to the natural vibe of this sneaker.
Black leather across the overlay is contrasted with green Air Max logo placements; whilst a white midsole with large green Air Unit helps bring the colours altogether. Although there is a number of Air Max 90s dropping this year, this is one of the strongest.
No details on a release date have been unveiled so far. However, considering the popularity of the recrafted 90s, you can expect it to drop soon.
