2024 is here, and we know many of you are already drawing up your lists of what sneaker releases you’re looking to cop. Whether you’re a collector or a fashionista, we’ve put together a list of upcoming releases for you to watch out for.
Air Jordan 4
You don’t need us to tell you how massive the Air Jordan 4 is right now, but it might hit a new peak in 2024. The long-awaited Reimagined Bred is finally dropping this February. The Military Blues also make a comeback in April potentially under a new name, ‘Industrial Blue’.
Air Jordan 9
About a year ago, Jordan Brand dropped a controversial new version of the Air Jordan 9 ‘Olive’. This year, they’re rumoured to be dropping a more true-to-OG retro, as well as a return of the Powder Blue colourway.
New Balance 990v6
A year since its release in winter 2022, the 990v6 has become known for its unbeatable comfort and its collabs with Action Bronson and Carhartt. Having cemented its reputation, New Balance has prepared a whole slew of new colourways for its Made in USA flagship.
Patta x Air Huarache 20Y24
For years now, Patta has had an incredible run of collabs with several different brands. If you were wondering how they’d outdo themselves this year, this mashup of the Air Huarache Plus and Pegasus 40 might be the answer.
Nike TN Air Max Plus
Last year, the cult classic TN celebrated its 25-year anniversary. This year, the beloved OG gradient colourways are set to make a return, with the Voltage Purple dropping in mid-January.
Kobe Protros
The release of the Kobe 6 Reverse Grinch and Kobe 4 ‘Black Mamba’ Protros made waves this holiday season. This looks like just an opening salvo of Protro Mamba models set to be released throughout the year.
Air Footscape
Both the OG and Woven Air Footscape models have made a comeback in the last months of 2023. With sacai’s collab only dropping last month and the return of the iconic Rainbow Wovens coming this February, it looks like there’s still more to come for the Footscape.
adidas Originals
In between all the hyped collabs, the classic adidas Originals models like the Sambas have taken up massive space in the fashion scene. The Y2K-inspired Campus 00s are also consistently selling out and making their way to the aftermarket. While the lifespan of trends may be unpredictable it looks like there’s still plenty of love for these models.
New Balance 1906
The 1906R has already been experiencing a great run alongside its cousins, the 2002R and 860v2. This year, not only has New Balance created a whole new variant, the 1906U, but the 1906R is also set to get its boldest colourways yet, courtesy of Salehe Bembury and Action Bronson.
CO.JP Dunks
In 2023 we finally reached a point where the Pandas were sitting at retail, but that doesn’t mean the Dunk has lost its lustre. Nike Concepts Japan is guaranteed a presence in 2024 with the release of the 1999 Japan-exclusive ‘Reverse Curry’ colourway this January. The ‘Ultraman’ and ‘Plum’ colourways are also rumoured to drop this year.
Jumpman Jack
Finally, Travis Scott is looking to shake things up with his first original signature shoe, the Jumpman Jack. We’re all still waiting for more details on this release so be sure to stay tuned.
