Happy New Year, sneakerheads! we’re glad to be back and hope you’ve had a great holiday season. We know the world of sneaker releases has been a bit unpredictable over the last few years, but from what we can tell, 2025 might be one of the hottest on record. So, feel free to check out some of the biggest releases dropping this year and start taking notes on what’s making your must-cop list.
The Black Cats Are Back
The Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cat’ kicks off Jordan Brand’s January lineup on the 11th. Its iconic stealthy mix of jet-black suede and patent leather returns for the first time since its ‘07 debut. This is the first Black Cat Retro set for 2025, with the AJ4 colourway coming later in the year.
Taking it Back to 1985
Jordan Brand is celebrating a massive milestone this year as the Air Jordan 1 reaches its 40th anniversary. This February, the OG Banned/Bred colourway is coming back in its classic 1985 High cut. That same month the OG Royal colourway is returning on the ‘85 Low. Also coming this February is the new Chicago/Shadow mashup from Union LA, followed by the delayed OG Black Toe Reimagined. And finally, after 10 years the UNC Highs will be returning in the pre-aged style of the Lost & Found.
In terms of non-OG favourites, we’re getting another Shattered Backboard High Retro, as well as a Low version of the Rookie of the Year colourway. There’s also a rumoured three way collab between Union and Fragment Design coming later this year.
Travis Scott’s Reign Continues
Travis Scott kicks off his 2025 lineup with the Light Chocolate colourway of his all-new ‘Zoom Field Jaxx’ model. While he might be cutting back on Jordan collabs this year, the rapper is reuniting with Hiroshi Fujiwara for a new colourway of their iconic AJ1 OG Low.
The Air Jordan 4 Shows No Signs of Slowing Down
While the popularity of Jordans has gone up and down in the last few years, the Air Jordan 4 is sure to be in high demand this year. Key releases of the year include the Rare Air Laser and the new Nike SB ‘Sapphire’ collab coming in February. But as we all know, the OG colourways reign supreme, with ‘White Cement’ Retro dropping in May set to be one of 2025’s hottest releases.
Of course, we can’t forget the return of the UNDEFEATED 4s coming this year. This legendary collab is even rumoured to be coming in two SKUs: a new Nike Air version and the original Jumpman version from ’05. Both pairs are set to drop in June.
Don’t Sleep on the 12
There are two massive Air Jordan 12 Retros dropping this year. First off is Carmelo Anthony’s iconic ‘Melo’ colourway, coming in white leather with powder blue hits. First released in 2004, the Melo is coming back in May 2025.
Next up is perhaps the most memorable AJ12 colourway, the ‘Flu Game’. While no release date has been confirmed, this legendary black and red OG isn’t a drop you’ll want to miss.
The Air Max 95 Turns 30
The AM95’s 30th birthday will be the big theme of this year’s Air Max Day on March 26th. A whole range of grey gradient colourways is set to be dropping, including the iconic OG ‘Neon’. There’s also a rumoured Nike SB collab coming later in the year.
Supreme ‘94
Following their 30th anniversary, Supreme are back with a massive new collaboration on the Nike SB Dunk Low. Multiple colourways have been previewed so far, all with ‘94’ embroidered on the heel. This pack is rumoured to be dropping in May.
