Everything You Need To Know About The Bred ’85

The Retro of the year may already be upon us. We’re here to get you up to date on the momentous release of the Bred ‘85, plus all the marketing antics that Jordan Brand has been up to.

It’s the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1 and the start of the Jordan line. The Bred colourway is the original of the original, and this latest release is designed to be as true to the OG as possible. This pair comes in an updated ‘85 cut, based on carefully taking apart and analysing 1985 pairs. There’s no Reimagined-style artificial ageing, just the classic colourway in thick, premium cuts of smooth black and red leather.

Beyond the specs themselves, Jordan Brand wants this release to go down as a grail, a white glove item. Not only do the Breds command a retail price of $250, they’re rumoured to be limited to around 10,000 pairs. So it’s safe to say these won’t stay sat on store shelves.

As you’d expect, Jordan Brand has pulled out all the stops. They’ve taken down all their socials as if they’re going back in time and starting from the beginning. They’ve also referenced the iconic Banned campaign, censoring images of Jordan 1s listed on their site. They’ve even handed out fake fines to any of their employees caught wearing Jordan 1s.

But here’s the biggest wrinkle. While the worldwide release is set for the 14th of February, select pairs will be dropping at 23 stores across the US and Canada, an obvious nod to MJ’s player number.

With the high price and limited stock, you might be feeling that your chances of copping the Bred ‘85 are a little low. That’s where we come in. If you order a pair of Bred ‘85s on our app within 3 days of its release on the 14th, we’ll automatically enter you in a raffle for the chance to get your pair refunded. That’s right, a fresh pair of Breds, on the house!

T&Cs

This event will last from 14/02/25 to 16/02/25.

Once you order a pair of the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 ‘Bred’ on the KLEKT app, you will automatically be entered into a raffle to have the price of your pair refunded.

This refund will only apply to one pair. The winner will be announced on 17/02/25 via our socials.

If your order is cancelled after successfully redeeming a code, our customer support team will contact you to provide a replacement pair free of charge.

KLEKT reserves the right to suspend, change, or cancel this offer at any time in the event of circumstances arising which, in KLEKT’s opinion, make it necessary for KLEKT to do so.

Please note that as KLEKT is a marketplace we try our best to ensure our sellers fulfil their orders, but we cannot always guarantee your order will be fulfilled.
