Nike and COMME des GARÇONS have one of the best relationships in sneakers. It’s a fact. Over the past 20 years, the two have created countless classics. Having been debuted at the COMME des GARÇONS show last year, sneakerheads have been patiently waiting for the CDG x Nike Dunk Low to drop. Although it may have taken well over a year to get here, the wait is nearly over.
We now have a much closer look at both iterations of the streetwear sneaker. In true CDG style, the brand has used Rei Kawakubo’s favoured monochromatic colour palette. Black, grey and white adorn both sneakers, each using a semi-translucent material. Both sneakers feature a set of premium waxed laces, black Swoosh and black midsole. Did we mention that CDG loves black?
Those looking for a bolder option can cop one version which features CDG printed across the entire upper. A much more subtle iteration uses the same translucent upper but without the print. Continuing the Nike Dunk hype so far this year, CDG is gearing up to drop these two future classic shoes.
Set to drop in summer, the shoe will be a tough cop. Get a closer look at the Dunks below and let us know if you plan on copping these.
