Whenever Jordan Brand announces its holiday release, sneakerheads around the world get excited. Previous shoes to drop have included the Jordan 11 Space Jam, Concord and Jordan 1 ROTY. Well, it looks like last year’s “Bred” 11 drop eclipsed all of these by a big margin.
Having just reported its 2020 Q3 earnings report, Nike COO Andy Campion revealed that the “launch of the Air Jordan 11 ‘Bred’ was the largest in Nike’s history, with the product selling out in 28 minutes powered by the SNKRS app.” The Jordan holiday release is traditionally the brand’s biggest release of the year. Around one-two million pairs of the Bred 11s were rumoured to have been made, making for a large release.
With that being said, it doesn’t seem unlikely that those numbers are true. The Jordan 11 Bred is one of the most iconic J11 colourways. Given the demand of the Concord and Space Jam, Jordan Brand knew how big the launch would be. Those numbers are eye-watering to think about.
