For 35 years, the Air Jordan 1 has remained a constant in the hectic world of sneakers. Since its debut on the hardcourt by Michael Jordan in 1985, the AJ1 has been reimagined, redesigned and reproduced thousands of times. Trying to keep a 35-year-old sneaker up to date can be tricky at times. However, it seems that small differences can make big differences. Enter the Air Jordan 1 “White Royal.”
Taking a very similar construction to the classic “Royal” Air Jordan 1, the “White Royal” opts for subtle changes. A black and white leather base features splashes of blue on the tongue and ankle. The eye-catching blue toe is a nice addition and plays on the previous “Bred Toe” Air Jordan 1 that released in 2018.
It’s clear to see elements of the fragment Air Jordan 1 on this sneaker, with similar colour blocking throughout. However, the inclusion of a white Wings logo and tongue tag is quick to separate the two (as does the price tag). Below a clean white midsole is accented by a royal outsole, finishing this shoe off nicely.
