adidas and 424 have been one of the most exciting collaborations in a while. The Los Angeles based label is known for its adventurous designs and takes a luxury approach to streetwear. Since first joining forces in 2019, 424 and adidas have created premium sneakers that are ideal for the everyday. Now, the two are joining forces once again to add to the successful partnership.
With the adidas Superstar turning 50 this year, 424 has brought it into 2020 in style. A simple white leather base is contrasted by an off-white shell toe and midsole. The off-white colouring can also be seen on the heel as well as on the sockliner. On the tongue, a bright red 424 tag takes pride of place, with co-branded insoles finishing the shoe off nicely. Sneakerheads will be quick to notice that the gold “SUPERSTAR” has been replaced with “SHELL TOE.”
The 424 x adidas Pro Model will launch in two monochromatic colourways. Both sneakers feature a complete leather construction, with a gold adidas logo on the tongue. On the heel, a debossed “424” can be seen, a hidden detail that gives this sneaker depth. A chunky midsole unit and raised leather border also help to create more texture.
