Late last month, we reported that a LEGO x adidas collaboration was in the works. Although there were no images to accompany the story, it was reported that the shoe would continue A-ZX line by adidas. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been waiting to see what’s to come from the LEGO x adidas collab. Trying to locate any images, or info for that matter has been tough. Thankfully, LEGO has given us our first proper glimpse of what to expect from the collaboration.
Though shots of the shoe are kept to a bare minimum, the advert alone is enough to get you excited. The stop motion picture features multiple LEGO bricks coming together to create the packaging. However, the playful video has already made quite the impact in the sneaker community. Over the course of 45 seconds, you see multiple elements of the upcoming shoe box which, as you’d expect, is shaped like a large LEGO brick.
Eventually, we get to see the shoe. Taking the adidas ZX8000 as the model of choice, LEGO has used all the colours that you’d expect to see in a LEGO set. Reds, blues, greens, yellows and white all feature on the shoe. Keeping things simple, a traditional nylon mesh base has been used, with the subtle details really making this sneaker. A LEGO brick is used as a lace dubrae, whilst a large LEGO logo features on the tongue for good measure.
If you’re looking to build your collection with this LEGO x adidas collab, you’ll have to wait a little longer. As for now, there’s no official release information on the sneaker. Check out the video below and let us know if you’ll cop these LEGO x adidas ZX8000 sneakers.
