For over 20 years, Lucas Puig has been one of the most exciting skaters in the scene. The Frenchman has been a close friend of Palace skateboards for a number of years now, having his own decks and more. On top of that, Puig signed a shoe deal with adidas in 2012 which gave him the chance to pioneer adidas’ work in the skate scene. Now, Palace and adidas have joined forces to create Puig’s latest signature model in true skateboarding fashion.
Dubbed simply the “PUIG”, the sneaker is a seamless blend of adidas technology with Palace’s style. Featuring a durable leather upper, the low top silhouette is an ideal sneaker for skaters everywhere. A gold Palace Triferg logo can be spotted on the tongue, with a gold “PUIG” on the lateral side. Breathability has also been thought about too with perforations on the toe. It is, however, the sole unit that has got us interested. The extended sole raises up the back of the shoe giving it maximum grip and “maximum Frenchness” as Palace put it.
