We’ve seen some pretty crazy sneakers over the past few months, so the simplicity of the PLEASURES x adidas Superstar is a refreshing change. The LA-based label, headed up by Alex James, has been making waves in the streetwear industry since it began in 2015. From graphic T-shirts to eye-catching notes on the back of jumpers, PLEASURES is no stranger to its fair share of controversy. Thankfully, it’s gone for a subtle approach on its adidas Superstar collab.
Putting a fresh spin on an iconic sneaker is always hard, but the PLEASURES adidas Superstar is immaculate. The all-black upper is constructed in premium leather, with a real focus on quality throughout this shoe. “PLEASURES” branding sits just above the first of three translucent stripes on the lateral side and on the heel. Crisp white laces work against a smooth leather tongue and add a simple look to this feel. Finally, a matte-black rubberised shell toe matches the sole unit, bringing this slick Superstar to a close.
If you like the look of the PLEASURES x adidas Superstar then there’s good news. The shoe is set to drop on May 27th for €130 at select retailers. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Superstars.
