The Adistar Jellyfish has spent most of its short life in colours that match its construction. Blacks, whites and blues have kept the attention on the moulded shell rather than the palette, and for a silhouette this loud that has generally been the safer route.
The adidas x Pharrell Williams Adistar Jellyfish 'Brown Neon' goes the other way. It is the earthiest the model has looked so far, and the yellow running through it makes sure nobody mistakes it for a quiet shoe.

Brown Mesh and Neon Yellow
The base is a rich brown mesh, layered with tonal brown leather and the oversized moulded TPU components that give the Jellyfish its exoskeletal look. Off-white structural pieces and solid black stripes sit underneath, helping to separate the layers on a shoe that could easily read as one mass.
Neon yellow does the rest. It cuts across the sweeping side supports, appears again on the tongue branding and the heel, and runs through sections of the exaggerated midsole. Against the warm brown it reads as almost electrical, which is a long way from the tonal approach the silhouette has mostly taken.
Reflective detailing is worked in as well, and the oversized Three Stripes remain where they have always been. The Jellyfish and VIRGINIA stamps on the tongue keep the connection to Pharrell's creative platform visible without much shouting.
Where It Sits in the VIRGINIA Line
The Jellyfish is built on the Adistar Cushion, an early-2000s adidas runner, reworked through Pharrell's VIRGINIA platform into something far larger than the original. The wave-like TPU overlays and full-length Adiprene cushioning are what remain of that running heritage underneath the sculptural upper.
Since arriving, the model has been used as a colour laboratory more than anything else. A 'Triple Black' and a 'Royal Blue' landed in February 2026, a red, black and blue version turned up on James Harden, and a black and green pair was seen with Chief Keef. A 'Triple White' has also been announced.

The style code is KK2889 and the official colourway is listed as Brown Neon, though the pair has also been circulating under the name 'Timber'. Official images appeared in July 2026 and the shoe was originally expected in the autumn.
That has changed. An update on 16 September 2026 moved the release to December 2026, with no exact date given yet. The 'Dark Brown / Frozen Green' colourway has been pushed to the same window, so two Jellyfish pairs now sit in the same stretch at the end of the year.
