Take a look at what might be one of the most out-there Dunks in recent memory. Japanese artist Verdy once again teams up with Nike SB, presenting the plush pastel ‘Visty’ Dunk Low.
This shoe is infused with the DNA of Verdy’s ‘Visty’ character, who debuted as a limited plush toy in Verdy’s 2021 RISE ABOVE exhibition. Visty also previously made an appearance alongside Verdy’s popular character ‘Vick’ in a collaboration with Swatch.
The upper on the Visty Dunk comes in a cuddly fluffy upper wrapped in corduroy overlays, all in pastel pinks greens and blues. The Visty monster character appears on the inside of the tongues and does a skateboard flip onto the Zoom Air cushioned insoles. The midsole comes in a light cream tone, with matching pastel green on the rubber outsole.
Verdy himself is no stranger to hyped sneaker collaborations. His Girls Don’t Cry brand dropped two hype SB Dunk colourways back in 2019, and is rumoured to return to the silhouette sometime soon. Verdy’s also nabbed the debut collab spot on Ishod Wair’s signature Air Max shoe, once again applying Visty’s signature pastel colours.
We mentioned Verdy’s other character Vick earlier, and he’s also getting some love with a Friends & Family exclusive. Vick is part rabbit, part panda, with a black-and-white look that’s a perfect fit for the Dunk. This take on the panda colourway is rendered in a fluffy black-and-white upper, with Vick himself appearing on the heel.
The Nike SB x VERDY Dunk Low ‘Visty’ drops on the 20th of September 2024. Be sure to check out the listings on the KLEKT app if you miss out on the retail release.
