Every marketplace ends up with a stockroom. Pairs that came back, pairs that never moved, pairs that sat through a trend and came out the other side. Ours has been filling up since 2020, and some of what is in there has been waiting four or five years for somebody to open the box.
So we boxed it. KLEKT Mystery Boxes are built entirely from our own stock, one pair per box, seven price points, and you pick the size.
How the Boxes Work
You choose a price and a size. We choose the shoe. The pair is not disclosed before purchase, it cannot be requested, and it cannot be swapped once it arrives. That is the whole idea, and it is the only part of this that is genuinely a surprise.
What is not a surprise is the size. A box sold as US9 contains a pair in US9. Nobody receives something they cannot wear. Sizes run from US4.5 through to US13, with GS sizes included, and each size is its own small set of boxes rather than a single pool.
Boxes may contain deadstock, new pairs with minor defects, pairs where the shoe is fine but the box took a knock, or used pairs that have been cleaned. We would rather tell you that up front than have you find out on the doorstep.
The Seven Boxes
Seven price points, from 25 euro to 400 euro. Each one is a separate set of boxes, and each set is limited by whatever we actually have in that size.
The higher tiers are the thinnest, simply because there are fewer pairs in the stockroom at that level. When a size sells out in a tier, that is the end of it. These are not manufactured to order and there is no second run.
Some boxes also include a free extra thrown in at packing. Keychains, a tote bag, whatever is on the shelf that day. They are added at random, they are not promised, and they are not part of what you are paying for.
KLEKT Mystery Boxes Terms and Conditions
1. Scope
These terms apply to the purchase of KLEKT Mystery Boxes and are in addition to the KLEKT Terms of Service. Where the two conflict, these terms govern the Mystery Box purchase.
2. The product
A Mystery Box contains one authentic pair of footwear from KLEKT's own inventory. The brand, model, colourway and release year of the pair are not disclosed before purchase and are determined solely by KLEKT.
3. Size
The buyer selects the size at checkout. The pair supplied will be in the selected size. Size availability is limited and shown per box.
4. Condition
Mystery Boxes may contain items in any of the following conditions: deadstock, new with defects, new with a damaged box, or used. Items described as used may show visible signs of wear.
5. Authenticity
All items pass KLEKT's standard authentication process before dispatch.
6. Value
KLEKT gives no assurance as to future resale value.
7. No selection, no exchange
The buyer cannot select, request, influence or be informed of the pair contained in a box prior to purchase. Boxes cannot be exchanged for a different pair, a different size, another box, store credit or a replacement.
8. Right of withdrawal, returns and refunds
Consumers may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason, in accordance with applicable consumer law. To exercise this right, notify KLEKT within the period and return the box complete, including all contents, packaging and any extras, in the condition received. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the return has been received and checked. Return shipping costs are to be paid by the buyer.
9. Extras
Certain boxes may include additional promotional items. These are distributed at random, have no stated monetary value, and confer no entitlement or claim.
10. Availability
Mystery Boxes are built from existing stock in limited quantities. Sizes and price tiers may sell out and will not be restocked. KLEKT may withdraw the programme at any time.
11. Limitation
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any statutory rights the buyer has as a consumer, including rights relating to defective goods.
