It’s been an incredible year of sneakers, and as things draw to a close it’s time to pick the best of the best. We asked you to put forward your picks for the finest sneaker of 2022, and compiled a list of the top results. Take a look through, and we’ll see you for another hype year in 2023.
15 – Nike Craft x Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe
We start things off with this practical design from Tom Sachs and NikeCraft. The simplicity of this flexible shoe led to one of the most creative sneaker ads this year, ironically dubbing it ‘Boring’.
14 – Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’
Our first OG on the list. This pair brings back the classic streaks of fire red throughout the Air Jordan 3’s iconic tumbled leather upper.
13 – Nike x Concepts Air Max 1 SP Mellow
Concepts’ first entry of this year. These AM1s are made with a mixed material upper in a variety of prints, paying tribute to the psychedelic 60s.
12 – Nike x NOCTA Air Force 1 Low ‘Certified Lover Boy’
On this premium edition of the timelessly fresh AF1, Drake adds a number of details inspired by his 2021 album.
11 – Air Jordan x Travis Scott 1 Low OG Black Phantom
A late entry, Travis Scott presents his most unique take on the AJ1 yet, decking it out in an all-black makeover, highlighted with white stitching.
10 – Air Jordan 4 WMNS Canyon Purple
The Canyon Purple is one of the year’s most colourful shoes, coming in a hairy purple suede upper with speckled green TPU pieces.
9 – New Balance 550 Cream Black
The preppy vintage looks of the New Balance 550 show their staying power this year. One of the hottest had to be this cream black pair, perfectly complementing the retro design.
8 – Air Jordan 1 High ‘Yellow Toe’
By far one of the year’s most anticipated Jordan 1’s of the year, bringing bright, taxi yellow hues to the classic Bred Toe colour blocking.
7 – Nike x Patta Air Max 1 White
Patta rounded off their incredible Waves collaboration on the Air Max 1 with this clean white and silver colourway.
6 – Nike SB x Concepts Dunk Low Orange Lobster
Concepts’ iconic Lobster Series returned this year in an all-new orange colourway.
5 – Air Jordan 4 Retro Midnight Navy
The Midnight Navy is a cool autumn-inspired riff on the Air Jordan 4’s classic Cement colourways.
4 – Air Jordan 4 Military Black
The Military Black might be one of 2022’s most wearable colourways for any Jordan model, coming in a premium white leather upper with sleek black details.
3 – Air Jordan x A Ma Maniére 4 Violet Ore
Capping off an incredible year for the Air Jordan 4, A Ma Maniére presents yet another stylish, luxurious take on a classic Jordan design.
2 – Air Jordan 1 x Travis Scott Low Reverse Mocha
One of the hottest drops of the summer, the Reverse Mocha complements Travis Scott’s previously used coffee-coloured suede with cool, milky white leather panels.
1 – Air Jordan 1 High OG Lost and Found
Was there ever any doubt? The Lost and Found combines a classic colourway with well-executed storytelling that sneakerheads have taken to in droves.
