Nina Chanel Abney Drops the Jordan Collab of the Summer

In 2022, acclaimed contemporary artist Nina Chanel Abney made her debut sneaker collaboration on the Air Jordan 2. Two years later and she’s taking things a step further, producing what may be the collab of the summer on the Air Jordan 3.

While her AJ2 collab smoothed over and simplified the luxury details of the OG, this AJ3 packs on a tonne of added details. The traditional leather upper is swapped out for canvas, and what was once elephant print is now suede overlays. All these materials are tied together with bold, summery shades of green in this ‘Bicoastal’ colourway.

Cream accents also appear on the unique rope laces, as well as the Jumpman on the tongue. The cream TPU piece on the heel also features Nike Air branding in Abney’s handwritten style, rendered in hairy green suede. Hits of orange also appear, with Jumpmen tags on the heel, and Air Jordan x Nina tags on the inside of the tongues.

The insoles are also covered with an exclusive white and orange checkerboard print. Underneath, the midsole comes in a neutral cream finish, with a visible Air unit in the heel. The outsole features green and orange portions, complete with retro Nike branding.

The Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 3 WMNS ‘Bicoastal’ is locked in for a release on the 20th of June, via SNKRS and select European retailers. As always, if you miss out on the retail release, head over to KLEKT and check out the listings.
