Ever since the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 “Sail” surfaced just after Paris Fashion Week, sneakerheads have been growing impatient about a release date. Teased by Virgil Abloh all the way back in January, the wait has been getting a little too long. Over the past few weeks, we have seen more images of the shoe surface online. From in-hand shots to studio images, the hype around these upcoming Off-White™ Jordan 5s has been growing. Now, we have our best on-foot look yet.
Taking a similar design construction as the “Muslin” version, this deconstructed Air Jordan 5 is certainly eye-catching. The sail nylon upper is reminiscent of a vintage “Fire Red” 5, just as the “Muslin” referenced the “Black Metallic.” Holes have been placed across the shoe, with a cutout on the tongue as well as the mesh mid-panel. A black midsole comes complete with red accents, with the aged yellow sole unit bringing this shoe to a close.
