Late last year, we saw the Nike SB Dunk “Raygun” return with an updated aesthetic. Based upon the mythical Roswell Raygun’s basketball team made famous in Nike’s early 2000s ad campaign was an instant hit with sneakerheads. As any serious footwear fanatic will know, the Raygun’s have played a small part in the brand’s legacy but an important one. Thankfully, Nike doesn’t appear to be done yet. We now have a detailed look at an upcoming Nike Air Force 1 “Raygun” set to arrive next spring.
Taking inspiration from the much more limited white version, this upcoming AF1 is already looking like a must cop. Luxury pure white leather is contrasted with black detailing to create a perfect monochromatic base. Orange satin has been used on the heel panel to give a slick look, complete with yellow satin that adds a nice contrast. On the heel, a small basketball logo takes pride of place and references the Rayguns. Just in case you needed reminding, a large “RAYGUNS” insole comes as standard, rounding off this clever Air Force 1.
As for now, we don’t have much information on the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 “Raygun.” All we do know is that the pair is rumoured to release in Spring 2021 for €120. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these AF1s.
