In 1989, Nike ACG was officially launched. Whilst the earliest elements were formed during the early 1980s, it would take almost an entire decade for the concept to come to life. Standing for All Conditions Gear, Nike ACG was designed to take the Swoosh where it had never been: off-road. Over the last 31 years, Nike ACG has spawned some of the most iconic sneakers and colourways in Nike’s history. Now, it looks as though one colourway is making its way to the SB Blazer Mid.
Unveiled by Nike SB rider Grant Taylor, the upcoming Blazer Mid features the ACG Mowabb colour scheme. A combination of the simple brown canvas is contrasted by brown leather on the toe and midsection; with an oversized black rubberized Swoosh creating a nice divide. Purple and orange accents can be seen on the heel and lace eyelets, features that come directly from the Mowabb. Arguably our favourite details are the black speckled midsole and custom “GTP” style tongue tag; Taylor’s initials and twist on the ACG branding.
Right now, there’s not much known on the release, but chances are that this will be releasing in Fall 2020. No official images or details have been revealed, but these are already looking like one of the SB Blazers we’ve seen. Check out the first shots below and let us know if you’ll cop these ACG inspired SB Blazer Mids.
