Nike likes to give sneaker fans crossovers once in a while. The most recent iteration of this was the “Safari” Nike SB Dunk Low. The shoe used the classic atmos Air Max 1 as a reference just last week. Putting that successful formula to the test again, Nike is rumoured to be dropping an “Elephant” version of the Nike SB Dunk Low later this year.

Sneakerheads will remember the atmos “Elephant” collab from 2003. The slick Air Max 1 used elephant print, a teal patent leather Swoosh and a combination of white and black leather. Now, Nike has brought that classic colouring to skateboarding’s favourite silhouette: the Dunk. Featuring all of the same details as the original, the sneaker is well constructed from the bottom up. Moreover, the colourway doesn’t look out of place.

With the Dunk rumoured to drop in November, you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled.
