When it comes to sneaker collaborations, only a few brands have as strong a working relationship as atmos and Nike. Since the two began working together back in 2002, the sneakers they have produced have become serious collector’s pieces. The “Safari” colourway that atmos and Nike have become famous for has adorned a number of sneakers. However, one more slick Nike silhouette is about to get the “Safari” treatment.
Images of the “Safari” Dunk appeared towards the end of 2019 and got the sneaker community excited. The familiar colour and material combination of the OG Air Max 1 had found its way to a shoe equally as important in sneaker culture. After months of waiting, the “Safari” Nike SB Dunk Low is almost here to cop.
A suede orange base makes the perfect backdrop for Safari print to work against, with the mudguard and panels using the eye-catching graphic. The alternate Swooshes, one green and one orange add another element of colour pop to the shoe. Of course, no Nike Dunk would be complete without a bold mesh tongue.
Nike has kitted the tongue out in black mesh with matching black laces to match, contrasted by a black sock liner and brown heel tab. A slightly cream midsole is finished off with a gum rubber outsole and, underneath, a green Nike SB panel.
Given the iconic nature of this colourway, you can expect the shoe to be an instant sellout. Will you be trying to cop?
