It’s been an exciting year for sneaker releases at Nike. Over the past few months, we have seen Nike launch a plethora of fantastic sneakers, all of which the sneaker community has lapped up. The introduction of a number of high profile drops, collaborations and reissues have certainly helped. However, arguably the best Air Max collaboration of the year is just beginning to emerge. Enter the Denham x Nike Air Max 1.
First unveiled back in June, the Denham x Nike Air Max 1 is already looking like a special sneaker. Denham, the Amsterdam-based jean maker, has applied its signature detailing to Tinker Hatfield’s iconic silhouette. The perfect balance between leather, denim and suede adorns this entire shoe, making for a premium take on the AM1. Varying shades of blue adorn the sneaker, with splashes of white across the upper.
The unique detailing doesn’t stop on the upper, though, with arguably one of the most memorable insoles we’ve ever seen. Taking a luxury piece of red leather, Denham has injected traditional tools of the trade in gold throughout. “DENHAM The Jean Maker” is printed inside, making for one of the most memorable shoes of 2020. Finishing this sneaker off is a crisp white midsole unit and a contrasting gum sole for good measure.
If you’re looking to cop these Denham Air Max 1s, you’ll have a little longer to wait. For now, there is no confirmed release date or price, but you can expect these to be both limited and expensive. Check out the images below and let us know if you’re feeling these AM1s.
