Since first being previewed back in February, the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Sail” has been hot on the cop list of many sneakerheads. Chitose Abe’s futuristic design took the world by storm after debuting at the Paris Fashion Week FW20 show. Since then, we’ve had four colourways release with many more in the pipeline. Now, however, sneakerheads are getting hungry for the next drop. Thankfully, we’ve got new images of the “Sail” Vaporwaffle ahead of its release later this season.
Taking the same familiar double-stacked silhouette, the “Sail” colourway is quite possibly the simplest Vaporwaffle we’ve seen so far. A combination of white nylon is accented with cream tan and leather to create a premium looking sneaker. These natural tones also adorn the heel and tongue, whilst black “Nike | sacai” branding can be seen. Finally, a crisp double white sole brings the whole thing together, finished off perfectly with a distinctive gum sole. This may well be our favourite Nike Vaporwaffle.
If you like the look of the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Sail” then sit tight. As it stands, the sneaker is rumoured to drop in spring for €180. With little to no confirmation from Nike or sacai that this release will go ahead, let’s just sit tight and see.
