Sneakerheads around the globe are celebrating the Nike Air Max 95 this year. The silhouette is turning 25, a monumental achievement and one that is being recognised by Nike. For a quarter of a century, Sergio Lozano’s design has been one of the most influential Air Max runners. Now, the Swoosh is bringing back the classic grey upper of the OG but with a twist.
After images first leaked back in December, the “Foam Pink” iteration of the Air Max 95 is a subtle masterpiece. The integrity of the original Neon Air Max 95 has been left intact for this AM95. Contrasting shades of grey suede makes up the upper, giving the shoe it’s OG feel. The white mesh and sock liner add to the retro vibe too. However, the use of soft pink accents is what sets this sneaker apart.
Pink accents can be seen on the lace loops, heel tab, Swoosh, tongue tag and the Air Unit. Using the original black midsole, the shoe is given a pop of colour through the air bubble and on the sole. Of course, no OG looking AM95 would be complete without a set of white rope laces to bring the upper together.
If you’re looking to get your hands on these, you won’t have to wait long. The sneaker is expected to drop next week and will no doubt be an instant hit. Take a look at the images below and let us know if you’ll be copping.
