It’s been a busy start to the year for Stüssy. The Californian streetwear label has had some big collaborations with Nike, thrusting it back into the limelight. Of course, that has only left fans wanting more. The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2 has quickly seen a triumphant return thanks to Stüssy’s reinterpretation of the early 00s silhouette. Well, it now looks like Stüssy is turning its hand to the Nike Air Force 1 later this year.
Although the news is coming in slowly, early reports suggest that Stüssy will be launching two Air Force 1s around the holiday season. Whilst the news has yet to be confirmed by either brand, given the reliability of the source, this is definitely going to drop. Taking a similar approach to the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2, Stüssy is using a tonal colour palette once more.
According to the mockup images courtesy of @py_rates, the Stüssy AF1 will drop in Fossil/Fossil and Black/Black colourways. The mockups also see the traditional “AIR” on the midsole replaced with “STUSSY”, though that is yet to be confirmed. With this latest news, it looks like Stüssy and Nike is resuming its long and successful relationship throughout the new decade.
