Ever since rumours of the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” retro began towards the latter end of 2020, the sneaker community has been patiently waiting to see more. After being previewed by DJ Khaled just two weeks ago, it’s been a whirlwind ride for sneakerheads wanting to see more. Whilst there have been several blurry pictures since DJ Khaled’s initial video, those days look to be over. Now, we have an official look at the upcoming CLOT x Nike Air Max 1.
To really understand the design of this Air Max, you first have to understand the concept. Centred around “Qi”, a pillar of traditional Chinese medicine, the “Kiss of Death” is not like a regular Air Max collab. Much like the OG pair, the retro features the same combination of bright orange and red to create a distinctive sneaker. A transparent toe box, complete with a foot reflexology insole, has also been used creating a nice contrast to the faux snakeskin and ostrich panels. The translucent sole unit also bears the foot silhouette, bringing this perfect AM1 collab to a close.
There are several release dates rumoured for the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” retro. From what we can make out, these will be arriving at select retailers in March, potentially for an Air Max Day release. Either way, we’re going to need to pick up a couple pairs of these. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll cop this CLOT x Nike collab.
