After being launched back in 2005, the DQM x Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” has remained an important pair in the Air Max line. Dave’s Quality Meats founder, David Ortiz, used his years of experience in New York’s meatpacking district as inspiration to create arguably one of the best AM90s in existence. Originally scheduled to launch during Air Max Day last year, the pair was unfortunately delayed. The good news? It finally drops this Friday.
Although it may be over 15 years since the first release, the DQM x Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” retro looks just as good as the OG. Named the “Bacon” for obvious reasons, the DQM AM90 uses multiple shades of red, pink, brown and white to look like, well, bacon. Nike has also used the same premium materials found on the original, with the suede and leather combo working perfectly. Sitting atop a cream and brown midsole, these are going to be a must-cop for Air Max fans.
If you like the look of the Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” then there’s good news. The pair will be returning on Air Max Day aka March 26th. These are going to be one of the biggest drops this AMD so make sure you can secure your pair. Check out the images below and let us know if you’re feeling these classic Nike Air Max 90s.
