As Nike continues to celebrate the Air Max III (or the Air Max 90 as it was known from 2000 onwards) the sneaker community gets more excited. Released over 30 years ago, the iconic silhouette continued Tinker Hatfield’s legacy of visible air. After a string of OG releases in 2020, it doesn’t look like Nike are done with the Air Max 90 just yet. In fact, we now have confirmation that the 1991 “Hot Lime” Air Max III is set to return later this month.
Staying extremely close to the original version, Nike has kept everything about this shoe classic. Launched back in 1991 as a UK exclusive, the “Hot Lime” features white leather and mesh at its base. Teal leather accents the mid-panel, eyelets, heel tab and sole, making the “Hot Lime” accents stand out. Featured on the Swoosh, “Nike Air” heel tab and air unit, the hot lime accents really make this shoe. Sitting atop a white midsole and grey air unit covering, these are a summer banger.
If you like the look of the Nike Air Max 3 “Hot Lime” then there’s good news. The sneaker will release on January 25th for around €140. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Air Max 90s.
