Since first being debuted back in February, the Nike Space Hippie 04 has become something of a staple in 2020’s footwear releases. The sneaker serves as a reminder to Nike’s Move to Zero initiative; combining recycled materials with a lightweight approach. With the Space Hippie being the lightest model in the Space Hippie range, Nike is pushing it big. Although we’ve seen several bold colourways in recent months, Nike is taking things back to basics with a simple “Blac/Volt.”
As you can probably imagine, this is going to be an ideal sneaker for the fast-approaching winter months. The slick blacker upper is made up of 75% recycled materials, ranging from plastic bottles, T-shirts and excess fabric. However, the splashes of volt knitted through the shoe, with the mini white Swoosh and the toe adding a nice touch. A speckled white Crater Foam midsole features recycled plates featuring on the toe and heel of the shoe.
If you like the look of the upcoming Nike Space Hippie 04 “Black/Volt,” then there’s good news. The sneakers are set to release in the coming weeks for around €130. Take a closer look at the official images below and let us know if you’ll pick up these Nike Space Hippies.
