Over the past year or so, the sneaker community has been patiently awaiting the release of the Supreme x Nike Air Max 96. As the classic Nike silhouette celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, it seems an ideal time to bring the Nike shoe back into the limelight with a Supreme collaboration. Although it’s been relatively quiet in terms of a drop date, we do have some good news. Detailed imagery of the upcoming Supreme Air Max has surfaced online and it doesn’t look like you’d expect.
Rumoured to drop in three colourways, the Supreme Air Max 96 is certainly bold. From the black colourway we have seen, it’s not like a typical Supreme x Nike collab. A combination of black leather and translucent windows can be seen throughout, giving the shoe a never before seen look. Heavy Supreme branding also runs throughout the shoe and hits the tongue, insole and heel. The black midsole, complete with clear air units, has also been used, but it’s the red Swooshes that accent this Supreme Air Max nicely.
If you like the look of the Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 then sit tight. According to various sources, the three pairs will drop later this season.
