All the way back in February, we saw the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 “Sail” thanks to none other than Virgil Abloh. Following on from the success of the “Muslin” iteration, the “Sail” quickly began doing the rounds on various sneaker forums. Since then, however, it’s been fairly quiet on the Off-White™ Jordan 5 front. Thankfully, that all looks to be changing. Just like the initial drop, it looks as though an Off-White™ x Jordan Brand clothing capsule is in the works.
Although we are yet to get a confirmed release date for the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5 “Sail,” we do at least have some clothing to go with it. Taking the same design inspiration as its predecessor, this clothing collection is every bit as good. A hoodie uses a clever combination of white and sail can be seen throughout, with the panels being nicely divided. However, the large co-branded logo is the standout detail. Bringing together Virgil Abloh’s iconic grid lines, a reworked Wings logo and large “OFF-WHITE” branding, this is a statement piece.
Thankfully, that’s not all for this capsule collection. Hand-drawn graphics by Phillip Burke can be seen on the front, back and arm. The clever T-shirt depicts images of Michael Jordan as well as others throughout, with clever co-branding used across the front and back. Arguably our favourite piece of this tee is the hand-drawn Off-White™ x Jordan Brand logo on the arm.
If you like the look of the upcoming Off-White™ x Jordan Brand clothing collection, then good news. Rumours suggest that the entire clothing range will release on October 24th, though that is yet to be confirmed.
