Once in a while, Nike likes to give sneakerheads a treat. Some of the most classic shoes that the brand has ever released are given an update with newer silhouettes. For this latest blend of icons, Nike has brought back the classic Air Jordan 1 ‘Shadow’ colourway; only this time the monochromatic masterpiece has been draped on the Nike SB Dunk.
Originally released in 1985, the ‘Shadow’ Air Jordan 1 was a firm favourite for many. It has been reissued a number of times over the past 35 years, most recently in 2016. Thanks to Nike, we now have a Nike SB Dunk Low Pro that is already shaping up to be a future classic.
Taking the iconic Shadow colourway, this latest Nike SB Dunk seamlessly blends the elements of the colourway together. For the most part, the shoe uses the black colour scheme with pops of a grey. A grey toe box, Swoosh, sock liner and laces help to break the neutral colour scheme down nicely.
Plush tumbled leather can be seen across the toe box, side panels and heel and suede has been used across the mudguard, lace holes and on the heel tab. A white midsole and grey sole help to add to this homage hybrid, finishing the shoe off nicely.
Given that 2020 is the 35th anniversary of the Jordan 1, we are optimistic that more of these fan favourite colourways make their way to more sneakers. With the Nike Dunk also seeing a resurgence in 2019, you can expect these to be an instant sell-out. Just make sure to head to KLEKT where we can help you get your hands on a pair.
