Since bringing the 992 back this year, New Balance has been doing everything it can to ensure it becomes one of the years best trainers. Collaborations with the likes of JJJJound, WTAPS and Kith have certainly helped get it on its way, as have a number of slick colourways. Over the past nine months, we’ve seen the New Balance 992 assert itself as a silhouette to be reckoned with this year. Now, it looks like we could be seeing a Packer x New Balance 992 drop later this season.
Whilst details are still just emerging, we have our first look at the potential Packer x New Balance 992 shoe. Previewed by Packer’s own buyer, Victor Kan, the collaboration is quite simply magnificent. A simple combination captures this understated silhouettes essence perfectly. Orange suede overlays work with cream mesh to provide a muted looking sneaker, with a matching cream suede tongue rounding the upper off nicely. Premium grey tumbled leather can be seen on the lace eyelets and tongue, whilst 3M reflective detailing is accented by a split New Balance ENCAP midsole to provide a smooth ride.
Although we have no concrete release information, the news is exciting, to say the least. We do know that the Packer x New Balance 992 will most likely release this year but that’s about it. Check out the first images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Packer x New Balance 992s.
