When Awake NY and ASICS teamed up last year, the sneaker collaboration was a landmark achievement for Angelo Baque’s brand. The Awake NY x ASICS GEL-Kayano 360 was one of the most understated shoes of 2019, but it won the hearts and minds of many in the community. Since then, it’s been fairly quiet on the Awake NY x ASICS front, but that could be changing. It now looks like the two have another collaboration planned for FW20.
Although there is only one short of the shoe, it’s enough to get sneakerheads excited. Boasting a neutral grey upper, complete with a cheetah style print, the shoe blends electric blue and volt green accents on the midsection. What looks to be a GEL technology sole unit ensures a comfortable ride from the get-go, with the simple cream and silver colouring bringing a nice element. Also visible at the heel is another green GEL unit, with the black outsole bringing the shoe to a close.
There may only be a quarter of the sneaker on show for now, but that’s all we need. At the moment, there are no further images on the shoe so you’ll have to sit tight.
