When it comes to classic iconic television series, Breaking Bad is up there with the best of them. The story of Walter White who meets up with a former student Jesse Pinkman after being diagnosed with lung cancer is a masterpiece. Played by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul respectively, the series is ranked as one of the best of all time. It looks as though the Breaking Bad is cooking up something else exciting with American shoe brand K-Swiss for a clever collaboration of its own.
Three unique sneakers will reference the Breaking Bad show, each with hints and knowing nods to elements of the award-winning series. Using the K-Swiss Classic 2000 as the chosen model, each shoe has been given a clever update which helps fans literally walk in Walter White’s shoes.
The two most eye-catching sneakers reference the iconic hazmat suits worn by White and Pinkman in the show. A bright yellow upper features a zip that has to be peeled back to reveal the laces. Dubbed “Cooking”, the sneakers are a reference to the characters time in the laboratory. A second contrasting orange pair features the same details and has been named “Cleaning”.
After a limited run of the K-Swiss “Recreational Vehicle” dropped back in October, fans were left wanting more. Thankfully, K-Swiss has given them just that. A cream upper with multicoloured stripes throughout is a reference to the RV that the characters used in the first series of the show.
Furthermore, each shoe features a Breaking Bad logo on the tongue, whilst more subtle details like “HEISENBERG” on the sole, as well as creative packaging, make these a serious collector’s item.
