Over the past few years, JJJJound has slowly become a key cult label in the world of fashion. From humble beginnings as a digital mood board to now being one of the most hyped minimal brands on the planet, JJJJound is making big movements. Collaborations with the likes of Reebok and New Balance have helped open the Montréal-based studio to a wider audience. Thankfully, the latter of those brands is working with JJJJound once more.
After being teased for months, JJJJound has continued to showcase glimpses of an upcoming New Balance 992 collaboration. With the 992 currently experiencing a rebirth, the collaboration with JJJJound makes perfect sense. Of course, this has just given the JJJJound team full creative flow of the chunky dad silhouette.
Deep green suede overlays make up the bulk of this 992, with tonal hits creating a well-balanced silhouette. Dark grey accents can be seen on the sockliner as well as the iconic “N” motif on the sides which are contrasted by a set of cream laces. In keeping with the minimalistic approach to all of JJJJounds work, the logo has been embroidered on the heel. A split midsole comes in cream and white, making the perfect base for this New Balance 992 to finish on.
There is still no concrete news on the vintage-inspired silhouette, but the images are only adding further fuel to the fire. For now, we have no release date or pricing, so we can only hope that this shoe drops soon. Check out the image below and let us know if you’ll cop these JJJJound x New Balance 992s.
