When the Aime Leon Dore x New Balance P550 Basketball Oxford dropped last year, sneakerheads were excited. The vintage style basketball silhouette, updated by Teddy Santis, was brought back from the New Balance archives. Over the past few months, there have been a few teasers here and there of more ALD x NB collaborations. Well, it now looks as though more are on the way. In fact, Aimé Leon Dore has now confirmed that two more colourways of the P550 will launch in April.
Instead of completely changing the silhouette, Aimé Leon Dore has kept things much the same as the first drop. The shoe features a white vintage leather upper with either contrasting Green/Yellow or Navy/Red detailing throughout. It’s clear that ALD is pushing for an aged look and can be seen with the off-white midsole. Finally, dual branding on the tongue, 550 on the lower eyelets and white laces bring the sneakers to a close.
If you like the look of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 then there’s good news. Both new colourways will drop on April 16th for €160.
