There is no question that Ronnie Fieg is one of the most influential figures in the world of streetwear. The Kith Founder and Creative Director collaborated with the likes of Nike and Versace in just 10 years. Since its inception, Kith has always been made for sneakerheads, bringing back the forgotten models of brands such as ASICS and New Balance. Well, it looks like NBs relationship with Fieg is flourishing, with an exclusive 992 on the way.
Shared by the man himself on Instagram last night, Fieg debuted a “Steel Blue” New Balance 992. Continuing Fieg’s love affair with classic NB silhouettes, the sneakers premium aesthetic can be spotted from the get-go. A combination of suede, mesh and premium leather panelling is used throughout this New Balance 992. Furthermore, the well-balanced contrast between shades of blue, deep grey and a touch of cream give this sneaker a unique look.
Recent collaborations from WTAPS and JJJJound have made sure that the 992 gets the respect it deserves. With the hype around this release only growing, it’s safe to say these will be the shoe of the summer.
