In the world of streetwear, trying to make a name for yourself as a brand is difficult. With so many out there, it can be tough creating your own identity. However, Stray Rats has managed to do just that. Over the past few years, Stray Rats has combined its Miami attitude with typical New York City culture. Late last year, it was given the chance to work with New Balance with great results. Having been previewed late last month, the Stray Rats x New Balance 827 finally drops this week.
After the brief glimpse in April, official images of the Stray Rats 827 have been unveiled. Taking the already popular stripped back running silhouette, Stray Rats has gone for an autumnal approach to its collab. Brown suede and mesh are contrasted by light shades of green, purple and red. A purple “N” motif on the side features a red outline, whilst the eye-catching purple “827” on the tongue adds to the style. A khaki ABZORB midsole features a black outsole, and on the heel is “STRAY RATS” across the back.
