In the last few weeks, Nike SB have dropped their two-part release of their fruit-themed, four-pack. With the second half of the Fruity Pack dropping later this week, we’ll be talking about why it’s our favourite SB Dunk release so far this year.
The fruity pack consists of four SB Dunks, three lows and a high top. The release kicked off at the beginning of June, with the two opposing colourways, Green Apple and Cherry. The Apple’s tumbled leather base comes in a crisp off-white, with lively green suede overlays serving as its skin. Then there’s the darkest of the pack, the Cherry, with a burgundy suede skin over bold red leather.
This Saturday we’ll be seeing the retail release of the Blue Raspberry lows and Pineapple highs. The Raspberries are coated in cool shades of blue, but what sets this drop apart is the lone high top, the Pineapple. The Pineapple’s canvas base comes in a light yellow beneath bright orange suede overlays, mirroring the hard spiny skin. The green on the Pineapple’s crown and stem even makes a small appearance on the heel tab.
The SB Dunk releases have always stood out from other GR Dunks, and this simple clean and colourful pack is a great example of why. The changing shades of block colours not only evoke the skins and insides of fruits but also show off the different premium materials on offer. Tying together leather, canvas, and suede, this fruity theme has made for one of the most expressive choices for sneakerheads this summer.
The Fruity Pack is already up for grabs on KLEKT, along with a tonne of other SB Dunk drops.
