There has always been a sense of mysticism surrounding the Yeezy 451. Having first been spotted in 2018, the divisive silhouette is a talking point for many sneakerheads. With many comparing it to the Marvel character Venom, the memes about the shoe have certainly not helped its case. Almost no images of the original design have every surfaced, however, last night that all changed.
Known Yeezy leak source, Yeezy Mafia, last night revealed a sample of the original 451. Noticeably different from the upcoming Yeezy 450, the 451 features sock-like construction, with the jagged sole unit creeping towards the upper. A set of thick rope laces weave their way up towards the cream coloured Primeknit. Of course, fans will be quick to remember Yeezus himself stepped out at PFW rocking the unusual Yeezy model.
Kanye also revealed that he had worked with former Nike and adidas designer Steven Smith to come up with the provocative sole unit. Originally set to release in 2019, there has been no further sign of a Yeezy 451 drop. For now, we’ll just have to sit tight.
