As the Nike looks to complete its Move to Zero by operating a net-zero by 2025, its company-wide efforts have not gone unnoticed. It’s been exciting to see Nike really push the boundaries in its recent Space Hippie collection. The combination of recycled materials and innovative silhouettes has made the sneaker community happy. One model, in particular, the 04, is fast becoming Nike’s favourite too, with a brand new “Red/Volt” colourway dropping soon.
Utilising a well-balanced combination of Red and Volt, Nike has transformed the upper of the 04 entirely. The striking colourway uses a Space Yarn knitted upper complete with contrasting Red, Black and Volt. Thin black laces work together with a faint black Swoosh to create a nice divide. On the heel, a large Volt pull tab can be seen, with a neutral black “Nike” logo across it. Sitting atop a Nike Grind midsole complete with multicolour colour pops, this is a contender for the best colourway so far.
If you’re looking to get your hands on these Space Hippies, you don’t have long to wait. The sneaker is rumoured to drop at select retailers in the coming weeks. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Nike Space Hippie 04s.
